Contributions: Ideation and structuring | Campaign theme direction | Copywriting | Visual/art direction | Typesetting and layout design
When the founders of Atlanta-based writing nonprofit Lostintheletters approached me to collaborate on an impact and fundraising brochure for 2025 and beyond, it quickly became clear that the organization was at an inflection point and in need of a key asset to tell their story in a new way.
Through multiple work sessions, I helped their founding team structure the organization’s history, mission, vision, as well as co-wrote their core values, in order to reach out to investors and donors in a way that felt true to their vision. Following the writing process, I created a new design and color system for the organization inspired by their love of literacy and learning.
The final result showcases their vision and mission clearer than ever before: to build Atlanta’s home for creative writing.

Process Notes: Building High-Value Assets
Ideation & copywriting for nonprofit clients
It’s not uncommon for clients in the arts and nonprofit world to need assistance when framing their goals for a donor audience. When working with the Lostintheletters team, I started from ground zero–asking big questions about uniqueness, impact, and emphasis.
Organizations like theirs often do so many amazing things that the challenge lies in how much to say and where, not what.
Although this process extended the project’s timeline, it provided the client not only with a resource that they could use to raise funds, but a solid foundation of shared values and messaging that will benefit them for this next phase of their journey.
