SWARM: Answering the Call

A5 Full-Color Perfect Bound Book • 258 Pages • Charity Zine Project

I led visual design, typography, and layout for this charity fanzine, created by and for fans of the band My Chemical Romance. A massive commercial success, the zine grossed over $45,000 in sales and netted over $10,000 in charity revenue. Over 170 contributors had work represented in this zine project, which was formatted as a tribute to the band’s 2022-2023 global tour, with art and writing for every single unique tour stop.

In addition, I conducted three feature interviews to supplement the project and give insight into the tour’s behind-the scenes while still preserving a sense of fan culture and mystery. Visual style for this project also extended to merch design, a case study for which can be found here.
